Just spent a week on the Sapphire Princess ship with my friend Kristall and had a wonderful time. Our cabin was amazing with a balcony to sit on and an extra sitting room.





The ship itself was also beautiful with a couple of pools, several restaurants, shopping, and a Titanic-esque stair way. I couldn't get over how huge it was





We enjoyed the muster too. Although I don't think they were too happy when we started laughing. But seriously- when they say and I quote "If ciggerette butt is thrown off the ship into the ocean and then is thown back onto the ship and the ship catches fire..." Mmm first off I'm pretty sure the water of the ocean would probably put the cigerrette out, secondly we should probably be more concerned about the wave thats big enough to throw the butt back on deck, but hell what do I know. I think we had an equal chance of being attacked by a fire breathing dragon.



They had quite a few activities on board. We enjoyed a cooking demonstration and tour of the ships galley- (152 tons of food on board for 1 week!!!) Went to tea one day in one of the dining rooms, dressed up for formal night, danced, played trivia, ate, drank, swam in the pools.








Of course we also enjoyed our ports too-Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. playing in the ocean, lounging on the beach and checking out the towns. I was shocked that first thing you see when you come to port in Puerto Vallarta is a Super Wal-Mart. Pretty disgusting actually.

Tucson, AZ

Ok, so I realize that I live here (at least for the next few months : ), but I went on a hike today and felt that, the Desert, in Spring deserves it's rightful space on here. I truly am amazed! Check out how beautiful the desert is in bloom. So many colors! The contrast too is, well... what can I say...Amazing! Here are a few photos that I got from today's hike at Pima Canyon trail.





I love getting out "of the city" even if for a few hours! It is great that this is so close to me. Even though I never really left civilization it has the feeling of having done so.




I saw soo many pretty flowers on my hike.









No, that's not an illusion! That really is water in the Desert!





Check out the lusciousness! I felt like I was could have gotten "lost" in my own little world while there. Just soaking in the sun rays and beauty.





Very glad that I decided to venture out.

Philadelphia, PA

First I'd like to thank my cousin Chris for coming in to show me some of the sights.



Went and did a few touristy things while visiting Philly. Saw the Liberty Bell...




and over to Independence Hall where all those men sat in that room many moons ago drawing up our national constitution. I thought our tour guide was great. We toured with a field trip group of 6th graders ( I believe) Did you know that we have the oldest, continuously used constituiton? Or that THIRTY-NINE men signed it. I would have said 5- Washington, Franklin, Adams, Hamilton, and Jefferson. Ok so I knew more than that, but those are pretty much the names that I remember







Of course, while touring around Philly and learning about this great nation's history we also had to go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for a look at another piece of American Legacy. The Rocky Stairs!!!

Honestly, I was not too impressed with this city, but I'm sure there are probably some parts of it that I just didn't make it to. I will definitely have to give it a second chance at some point.

Anapolis, MD

While in Baltimore, Keri and I went to Anapolis for a day. I just have to say what a cute city! Although, there was definitely a lot of people out and about enjoying the beautiful weather we were fortunate to have while there.





Of course for all you women who love a man in uniform (I have to say I'm not one of them) Anapolis is a great city for you, being that the US Naval Academy was founded here. One thing that I do love though is some water.



It was great to meet Keri's cousin Karen and go to dinner in Anapolis. I wish I could remember the name of the resaurant we ate at. DE-Lic-ous!

Baltimore, MD

Made my way back over to the east coast to visit my friend Keri. It was great and a ton of fun to see her. Some how I managed to not get a single shot of us together while I was there, but I do have one from last year...



I always find Baltimore to be a lot of fun and thought it was pretty cool, being a fan of "The Wire" to be out having drinks with the local prosecuters and homicide detectives in "Bodymore, Muddaland"(my friend Keri is a prosecuter) Of course along with pretending that I could possibly fit in and maybe have any street cred came some sight seeing. I adore the Inner Harbor! I'd be there all the time if I lived in Baltimore. Tons of cute shops, restaurants, and of course tourist traps.







I thought these little dragon boats looked cute. If it wasn't for the fact that I probably would have been struck by lightening if I ventured out on the water I would have been all for taking one of these out for a tour.



Had a great time here! It was wonderful to catch up with an old friend and see more of this city.

Bisbee, AZ

Bisbee, Az is a cute mining town in S. AZ. It use to be quite the spot back in it's day with Phelps-Dodge and the mine. The mine itself has been closed since the 1970's, but since then Bisbee has attracted a lot of artists to the area. You can see a lot of the art work just walking around the town as murals, sculptures and other forms of art, people have added to their houses or yards. Lets just say the home owners association here is very laxed



We were very fortunate to get to stay at the Copper Queen Hotel. Which has been in operation since 1902! The rooms are very cute and quaint with claw foot bathtubs, and what reminds me of an old new england motif.





Besides the historic and charming qualities of the hotel, The Copper Queen Hotel is also known for it's resident Ghosts and has been featured on Ghost Hunters! I was happy that I did not report any ghost sightings during the night in my room.



Bisbee is also "known" for it's stairs. In fact a lot of the places people live don't even have roads up to their houses or at least no place to park a car. So they trek up and down these stairs every day. I couldn't imagine! Carrying the laundry basket up and down or groceries. Guess you'd have to make sure you could get it all in one trip.





We decided to do a tour of the Mine. Very fun and interesting. They give you miners hats, a light and you ride a little train into the mine about 1500' stopping at different spots where they tell you about what was mined, how the miners worked, the equipment used. Hmmm, no windows, but artificial light, 10-12 hr work days with barely time to eat, exposure to some pretty nasty diseases, hey that kind of reminds me of what I do : ).






Of course we couldn't leave Bisbee without checking out a few of the local watering holes. We even happened to be there on opening day for a new brewery!

Boston,Mass

Beantown!!! Had such a wonderful time here. This city is absolutely Bea-U-tiful! I loved the quaint European feel many of the streets have with their lovely brick buildings and old time lamp posts lining the streets.

Of course this city has tons of history from Paul Revere and his "ride" to Sam Adams and his "beer" (Ok, so historically speaking Sam Adams has nothing to do with beer) However, Boston does with the Sam Adams Brewery, and it's many fine pubs- most of which have Guiness on Tap!!

Being located on the coast helps add to this city's character and beauty plus...Who could forget all the delicious seafood to be had-clams,oysters,lobster-Yum!-my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I'm considering reincarnating as a shark : )
